I just finished up the new Freedom Force demo (and I'll probably go pick up the full version this weekend). For those of you who don't know, it's a RTS small unit (four people) superhero game. It's highly customizable, and it's this last bit that brings up my question.
Has anyone heard about anyone making X-Men models and skins, more specifically the old Excalibur team (Kitty, Kurt, Phoenix, Meggan, Brian, etc)?

actually recieved an e-mail from someone that had created a skin based on Nightcrawler for that game. I will have to look through my e-mail for the website to download it.
I am eventually planning an adding a subsection to on of my pages and have it available. But my attention has been too divided lately and I haven't had enough time to finish it.

Hsu - the game came out the 26th of March (according to the website). I think City of Heroes may be a separate thing, but I'm not sure.
Bamf - that would be really really really really really really really cool of you, and I would very much appreciate it.

I haven't found the e-mail yet, but check this out. Gives a few links out to skin archives for the Force game.

Also try searching X-Fan. I believe freedom force and city of heroes are 2 seperate games. Search X-Fan for more. A couple of months ago he did articles on the two games.

For the demo (some spoilers may follow for those wanting to play the demo through without knowing what's coming):
You get two missions. The first mission stars Minuteman, a patriotic American hero with a big stick to hit people with. You walk around the city, following these little hint things that tell you how to play the game and control your character, as well as the different types of attacks. You take out a few thugs, and start chasing a lead of clues (you can interrogate some of your enemies after knocking them out), and you find the guy you are looking for. During the course of this, you learn how to smack around thugs with lightposts, throw cars at them, destroy scenery, and try not to get any citizens in the crossfire.
The second mission is a short team-based effort starring the three that come with the demo (Minuteman, El Diablo, and Mentor) plus a custom character you get to create. The powers and characters are extremely customizable, and I imagine they are only moreso in the retail version. You can change the name of each of your attacks, the amount of damage done, etc, your attributes (strength, quickness, etc), and abilities (powers).
I don't think they have teleportation, but they do have wall-crawling and other goodies.
UC - if you're looking for a reason to upgrade your machine, you could do a lot worse than this game.
All in all, can't wait to get my hands on that game so I can make a team out of Excalibur, or maybe team up Batman, Harley Quinn, Nightcrawler and Shadowcat, or whoever I can find skins for.
Maybe a Team Blue - Nightcrawler, Beast, the Tick, and ... someone else.
Anyway, gotta run to work (at a comic book shop, it never ends!)
